DOGGY DATING
Celebrate love—four-legged and otherwise—at Doggy Dating. Dress your pup in their most romantic outfit for the Puppy Parade, where the best-dressed doggo will take home a prize hamper. Singles can mix and mingle at Paw-fect Match, a speed dating event hosted by an MC, while all pups can enjoy treats from the dedicated dog treat station.
All good dogs are welcome.

Dust off your best Porpoise Spit knowledge and join us for an afternoon of champagne, ABBA and catastrophically bad life choices as we celebrate the ultimate Australian cult classic that is Muriel’s Wedding.
You’ll be welcomed with a free Porpoise Spit on arrival, served bright blue and unapologetic.
Our fabulous drag hosts Della Katessen and Bobbee Pinn will lead the chaos, guiding you through Muriel’s Wedding trivia and music bingo that covers everything Muriel, from Porpoise Spit to Sydney, ABBA to deeply questionable personal decisions.
Come dressed in your finest wedding attire (stolen or otherwise), channel your inner social climber and compete for prizes while sipping themed cocktails and singing far too loudly.

GARLIC BREAD FEST 7.0
It's back and better than ever! 2026 marks the seventh year of the annual Garlic Bread Festival at Welcome to Thornbury. A celebration of garlic, bread and butter and an homage to everyone's favourite crispy, oven-baked snack.
Starting from $5, there'll be plenty of options from garlic and cheese bread, loaded garlic bread with cheese and bacon, Mexican Garlic bread and of course, the original GARLIC BREAD! Plus, a range of garlic bread inspired treats, drinks and desserts.
On the day, we'll be hosting a garlic bread giveways, games and competitions.
Entry is free but we recommend booking a table.

It’s back! Step yet again into a seaside time warp at the Retro Summer Beach Party Pop-up. Expect ice-cold cocktails from the Fever-Tree Bar, a rotating lineup of top-tier food trucks, and DJs spinning retro summer anthems and surf rock classics (Saturday night).

MERRY DOGS OF DAREBIN
Jingle all the way to WTT for a festive afternoon dedicated to our four-legged mates.
We’re hosting Merry Dogs — a Christmas hangout for pups and their people, complete with dogs dressed as Santa, elves, and whatever holiday chaos you can dream up. Bring your best-dressed pooch!
We’ll also be collecting donations for Forever Friends Animal Rescue, so you can spread a little extra love while you’re here.

SIXTH ANNUAL NUGGFEST
The humble chicken nugget will make its glorious and heroic return to Welcome to Thornbury this November, as part of the sixth annual Chicken Nugget Festival.

Taking it easy this July? We've got you covered with HEAPS GOOD JULY!
Our mates and all-round legends HEAPS NORMAL are joining the Welcome to Thornbury team this July to bring you a month-long heaps good time.
All July, the Heaps Normal team will be throwing out drink specials, games and prizes, giveaways, two epic parties and maybe even a cheeky mid-month merch drop!
Oh, and there will be lots of dogs. We love dogs.
We are kicking things off with a "Welcome Party", Wednesday July 2nd (Hospo Night) from 5pm. Start your month off with a heaps good time. There might be a little surprise rolling in to the truck park and....free beer?
Then, because we can't help ourselves, we're also throwing a wrap-up party on Friday August 1st to say goodbye to July!
